There are a lot of medical issues that run in my family, all of which are made worse from obesity. My wife, Sadie, had her surgery in February of 2019 and I could see the inspiring changes in her. Her overall health had gotten so much better in the first month or so. With that being only the beginning of her journey, and with a little encouragement from her, I made the decision. I wanted to have a better quality of life for myself and my family. My highest weight when I started my journey was 420 lbs. Going into the two week liquid diet, I was 415 lbs. Before my journey, simple tasks like walking upstairs to my apartment or even bending over to tie my shoes were very difficult. I would get tired and be out of breath to the point where I thought I was going to pass out. I decided no more. I wanted to be around for my wife and family later in life. I can now say with great confidence that having gastric bypass surgery was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I’m able to do things I couldn’t before. Such as get on a plane and not have to order a second seat just for me, or even small stuff like bend over for any reason and not feel bad when I stand back up. Now that my life is going in the right direction I will live it to the fullest. Thank you so much TLC Surgery.
