Our Bariatric surgeons at Texas Laparoscopic Consultants are proud to be recognized as BLIS surgeons. This distinction signifies that our doctors have met very high standards of success for short-term outcomes as well as long-term results for patients. This recognition, the result of a very selective process exclusively determined by BLIS, allows us to participate in a new type of insurance coverage. This coverage makes it possible for us to make a commitment to our self-paying patients stipulating that if a covered complication occurs within a certain time-frame after surgery, it will not be the patient’s responsibility to pay for the costs associated with the care of that complication.
