About Dr. Yu

Dr. Sherman Yu is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his surgical training at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. After serving as chief resident in surgery, Dr. Yu completed a fellowship in minimally-invasive and robotic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He was named one of America’s Top Surgeons, and operates in an ASMBS-designated Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence®. Dr. Scarborough then returned to Albuquerque where he performed the first laparoscopic kidney transplant in New Mexico.
